Glorious experience!
This home is amazing! The perfect place for 3 couples. The kitchen is set up for meals in which we enjoyed during our stay. Peaceful surroundings & incredible views make your stay so relaxing! We highly recommend it for a beautiful, relaxing & memorable vacation.
Great stay on Marathon
We rent houses every year in Marathon. This was our first time in this house and it was wonderful. The house is clean and well-equipped with anything you would need. The infinity pool was fantastic and provided a great place to watch the beautiful sunsets. I booked a local fishing guide Overtime Charters and got the flats slam which is a tarpon, permit and bonefish all in one day. It was a great week in a great house and we will certainly be back.
Amazing property
The pictures do this property no justice. It is literally jaw dropping in its size and beauty. The house is stocked with everything you could ever need for your vacation in paradise. The house was very clean and ready to go at our arrival. The 3 bedrooms are all huge and two of the three have amazing views of the gulf and the kitchen is fit for a chef. No need to go out and eat while your staying here. The grounds of the home are equally amazing as is the new infinity pool. I will miss my mornings sitting by the waters edge drinking my coffee. The only negative of no fault of the owners is the no see-ums. They were something fierce on some days but not all of the time. Be sure to use some of the supplied spray.

Amazing Location – Breathtaking Views
This was one of the most beautiful properties we’ve ever stayed at. It had everything you would need. The kitchen was big and well stocked with any utensil, pan or dinnerware you may need. The views from every room were spectacular and it was very private. We were able to see the sombrero beach fireworks from the lookout. The pool was amazing, clean the whole week and the perfect temperature for the hot summer nights. The property owners were super nice, accommodating and very responsive. I would recommend this property to everyone looking to spend a relaxing weekend in paradise. Thank you John and Joyce for the opportunity to stay at your property! We’ll definitely be back!
We loved this house!
The house is awesome and well done. The infinity pool is great as well. The best thing about this house is the owners John and Joyce who are very responsive to the guests. You cant go wrong staying here and we want to go back.
Absolutely Perfect
This property is fantastic. My wife and I spent the week with two other couples and enjoyed every minute of it. Pool is great, fishing from the pier is fun and the sunsets are epic! Will visit again.
Beyond the pictures and descriptions…
We couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay!!! Everything was first class-from the bedding, decor, kitchen, infinity pool to the location. The house is tucked back amongst trees making it feel cozy and inviting and no highway noise. The outdoor furniture was greatly appreciated from morning coffee by the water, lounging by the pool to dinner on the deck.
John was very easy to work with and responsive!

Beautiful
This home is beautiful and very open and spacious. The evening sunsets were spectacular. The heated infinity pool is awesome. We saw dolphins the first night there. John and Joyce were very accommodating in making sure all our needs were met. We would highly recommend this as a vacation spot. Thanks again!
Paradise!
This beautiful home is meant for a few quiet couples ready to enjoy the view, the pool and the house. It is in a quiet neighborhood, so be respectful of their “every day home”. The owners have been gracious in appointing the inside as well as the outside with what you need in order to enjoy your stay. We loved it.
Perfect Family Vacation
We just visited this beautiful home over Thanksgiving 2017 and I hope to go back again! It is even more amazing then the pictures show you. Open and roomy an incredible view from every room. The deck areas were large with very comfortable outdoor furniture to sit in the sun, read, take in the view and listen to the water and relax (my favorites were the rockers) The infinity pool could not be more perfect with a pergola for sitting in sun or just close the canvas at the top for a nice shady spot next to pool. The sunsets were stunning no matter where you were on the property. The House had anything and everything you could need there and is located in a very nice and private neighborhood. I can not say enough about this fabulous gem!!!! The owners were great and very easy to communicate and work with. I had some concern with the terrible weather they had been subjected to but I have to say I was very excited to see the Keys bouncing back. Everyone was friendly and happy to have us as visitors. We spent a day fishing with the crew at Finnz Up Sport Fishing and they were awesome it was our 2nd yr with them!! If you have the opportunity book this home and enjoy your own private paradise.
Spectacular Views!
Our family of four (including two teenage boys, 18 & 15) just spent a week at Villa Eastward Ho and couldn’t have been more pleased. This home exceeded our expectations from the spacious rooms to the beautiful unobstructed views of the Gulf! The most stunning sunsets were seen right outside our back door. This house will not disappoint anyone looking for a relaxing vacation. At the same time there is so much to do in the Marathon area to keep you busy if you want to be. We enjoyed boating, fishing, snorkeling, lobstering, and swimming in the infinity pool! John and Joyce did a wonderful job with the planning of that new addition. If you are looking to visit Marathon, this home is definitely worth renting. We are looking forward to returning!

Couldn’t recommend more highly!
This is an amazing home with panoramic views of the Gulf from 3 levels. Everything little detail has been thought of. You can tell that John & Joyce have really put a lot of effort into creating a memorable experience. Even the fact that they left all natural bug repellents, books, games and binoculars for our use is a small example of how well appointed this home is. It was my husband, myself & our 11 year old daughter with another family of the same. The two master suites are fantastic, both opening to a large deck overviewing the expansive gulf. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. The couple traveling with us is a professional chief. The gas Wolf cooktop, high-end cookware, knives & place settings were perfect when we choose to stay home & cook. We never tired of the view & remarked about it daily. The sunsets were a favorite time. We would take the paddle boards we rented & the kayak provided out onto the still waters & watch the sky glow in oranges & pinks. We saw a spotted eagle ray in the shallow waters by the little island nearby. It was dreamy. There is an abundance of outdoor seating. There is even an area of grass next to the invisible edge pool & the gulf with palm trees where we stretched out on a blanket and caught up on our summer reading. The Marathon Key location is great. The deep sea fishing & snorkeling excursions were only minutes away. Our favorite restaurant, The Square Grouper in Cudjoe was only 30 minutes away. Key West in an hour away & we took a fantastic half day excursion by Fury where we parasailed, jet skied, & rode a banana boat. Super fun with a great staff. Don’t forget the lobster rolls at DJ’s crab shack! The host, John & Joyce, could not of been more attentive & accommodating. If you can find an open week for this house, book it!
It Does Not Get Any Better Than This!
Living in Central Florida we have visited the Florida Keys many times and over the years have stayed in many places, including private homes, hotels and resorts like Hawks Cay. Do yourself a Favor, you must stay at this home. The views are incredible and you can catch as much fish as you like right at the dock. Lots of snapper, parrot fish, barracuda, shark, manatees, and more. The peace and quiet was heavenly and the affinity pool was gorgeous and when you are swimming in the pool you almost feel like you can touch the Gulf. The owners were very accommodating and when we arrived there was no need to go to the store right away for they had stocked the pantry with necessities like paper plates, spoons, plastic bags, seasonings, coffee, filters, soap, dish soap, etc. things that you might had forgotten. Of course, we did bring food from home but most of the time we would had to venture to the store just to buy items to cook with like oil, seasonings, etc. but all was there for us. The interior of the home was tastefully decorated in the Florida Keys style with quality throughout this home. The rooms were large and all the bedrooms had king size beds with private bathrooms. Again, tastefully decorated with Luxury in mind. The kitchen was every cooks dream, I loved the gas stove which had a small oven and a larger one for the bigger meals and also a grill on top which was perfect for grilling steaks which we used by the way. It was a delight to use and all the tools were there to make our favorite dishes. The dining room area has a large round table enough for several to sit and enjoy the water views. By the way almost every room had a water view which was breathtaking! Not to mention the evening sunsets! I will be saving one of those photos and put it on a canvas for my wall so that I will always remember our favorite vacation here in Marathon. Again, Thank you Joyce and John for an incredible stay. Already have a couple that will be contacting you for future stays. I will also hope to stay again next year God willing. Until then Paradise will have to wait until we can make our way back again. 2017 Vacation
Our vacation in this home was perfect! It was very quiet and private as the home owners suggested. The house itself is very spacious and up to date. We only had to purchase food for our week long stay, everything else was present. The views were spectacular…..we had daily visitors of geckos, iguanas and ducks. The rainbow parrot fish visited us a night along with the nightly insects. We couldn’t have asked for a better or relaxing place to stay! Close to the store, dive shop and a short drive to Key West or Bobs Buns on Islamorada Key!
Paradise
I did not think this house could get any better, but Joyce and John proved me wrong. Their addition of a pool, landscaping and pergola with shade is amazing! It truly felt like we were in paradise and we can’t wait to come back again next year! We watched the sunset over the gulf while cooling off in a pool, snorkeling in the water with parrot fish, kayaking, and just reading under the pergola- this house offers so much to anyone who just wants a low key vacation. It is also a house is perfect for those that really want to get out and see the keys. It is conveniently located to get to anything you would want to do in the keys, and central to all the tourist attractions in Islamorado and Key West attractions. Marathon has a wonderful aquarium, Crane Point, and Samberoro beach that you can walk to within 10-15 minutes. The house itself was very comfortable, tastefully decorated, roomy, and has incredible views from every room. An addition of a workout space was also a lovely surprise! This house is absolutely perfect in every way!
Peaceful-Relaxing-Amazing Views
I am so thankful that we chose this beautiful home for our vacation. Everything was perfect from the day we booked the trip until the time we left. John could not have been any more helpful to work with. He patiently answered all of our questions and made the entire process very easy. The house is simply amazing..beautiful view from all of the rooms. The house is beautifully decorated and comfortable and the infinity pool..well, what’s not to love! There was absolutely nothing that we needed that wasn’t provided. From our morning coffee by the water to the breathtaking sunsets..it was perfect. The neighbor, George, was as nice as can be and gave us lots of good advice on the area. I highly recommend this home and we look forward to staying there in the future.
Beautiful view!
We had an amazing time celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. The home was beautiful, clean and well equipped. We had everything we needed. We spent all of our time outside by the pool. They did a fantastic job designing the outside. Morning yoga poolside was my favorite! There is a perfect place right next to the little water fall. The view is breathtaking! We used the kayak right from the dock and we saw dolphin up close. We watched the sunsets every night. Perfect vacation! John was great to work with and responded immediately to any questions. We would definitely like to return!

We spent a wonderful week in March at this gulf side home. For our family, there was no need to leave the site. Viewing the sunsets over the infinity pool and Gulf were beyond description. The home is beautifully decorated and features all modern high end appliances. The three suites enabled all to enjoy the schedule of their choosing. We spent most of our time on one of the many decks or in the water sea kayaking and snorkeling. The few times that we weren’t cooking freshly caught fish we enjoyed exploring the local restaurants. We are very much looking forward to a return visit in the very near future.
Awesome hide away
This is the first time we have used HomeAway and had nothing but a good experience. The house was amazing and the view breath taking. We would do this again in a heartbeat. John and Joyce were amazing and worked with us through out the process and answered any questions we had. The neighbor was very friendly and gave good advice on restaurants and places to visit.

Relaxing Vacation!
This was our first vacation in the Florida Keys and we were very happy to have chosen this home. We were three couples and there was plenty of room for all of us. The bedrooms are very spacious and each have their own bathrooms. The views are awesome especially at sunset. We were able to enjoy the pool which was recently finished. John was very response and helpful with any questions we had. Highly recommend staying here and we hope to come again.
Relaxing in The Keys
Everything about Eastward Ho beat expectations. The neighborhood, central to everything in Marathon, is tucked away from US 1, and somehow manages to remain very quiet and peaceful. This is not a party house, but is ideal for relaxing on island time. The neighbors were very friendly as well. The home was perfect, the pictures don’t do it justice. A kitchen fit for a pro, beautiful open views of the water from the dining room and living room, the bedrooms were extremely roomy and comfortable and the bathrooms and showers were well appointed. With a kayak to go exploring the mangroves and uninhabited islands, we were able to see birds and fish of all varieties, dolphin, and even a manatee and her calf. The star of the show, was of course, the sunsets. With 3 decks to choose from, and chairs right out on the point, it’s up to you how to view the sun melt into the water. The sun sets unobstructed each night, displaying magical colors that will leave you in awe. The teenagers and the adults were all equally impressed, and we will be coming back.

Wow!
My family and I had the pleasure of staying at Eastward Ho at the beginning of June. The word that comes to mind is WOW! The house is so open and beautifully furnished. The kitchen is amazing, all the rooms are very comfortable and spacious, with Windows galore letting sunlight in and giving views of the Gulf. We spent hours sitting on the deck watching the water, kayaking, and snorkeling. We saw a wide variety of fish, and even a manatee. The view of the sunset is AMAZING! The location is very convenient to a grocery store and all the different tourist spots. This home was perfect for relaxing and immersing in the Keys natural landscape, but also allows for plenty of on the go activities. John was very personable and incredibly easy to work with. He was very informative and timely. It was a perfect vacation, in the perfect location, perfect house, perfect views and perfect setting. Thank you for sharing this slice of heaven!
